    About the speakers: Dr. Cedric Tutt (BVSc, BVSc(Hons), MMedVet (Med), Diplomate (EVDC).

    Dr. Tutt provides post-graduate training in veterinary dentistry to veterinarians, veterinary nurses and technicians. He is the author of "Small animal Dentistry - a Manual of techniques" published by Wiley- Blackwell and co-edited of "BSAVA - Manual of Canine and Feline Dentistry" (3rd edition). Dr. Tutt's also the past President of the European Veterinary Dental College.

    Lizzie Drudy (MSc RNutr - Registered Nutritionist) - Saracen Horse Feeds. 

    Lizzie is one of only 8 registered Equine Nutritionist in the UK. She has worked for Saracen Horse Feeds for 15 years and provides technical advice and nutritional support to Saracen equine clients in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Her area of expertise is not only on the performance horses but also feeding and management of endurance horses, supporting some of the largest endurance clients from the Middle East. She is also a regular contributor to regional and national equine publications, lecturing at college and Universities. Lizzie's motto is to help and support all horse owners to ensure they get the best out of their horses through correct feeding.

    Dr. Colin Dunlop (CEO Advanced Anaesthesia Specialists)

    Dr. Colin Dunlop is a graduate of the University of Sydney and a specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Colin is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists. His research include prevention of anaesthesia morbidity and morality,.  He consults in anesthesia and critical care for small and large animal practice, biomedical research and provides Continuing Education programs for veterinarians and veterinary nurses world-wide.

    Dr. Kevin G. Keegan (DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS. Professor and Director: E. Paige Laurie Endowed Program in Equine Lameness)

    Dr. Kevin practiced for 2 years primarily on the racing Standardbred. He completed an equine surgery residency and Masters's Degree at the University of Illinois in 1988, studying biomechanics and bioengineering. Dr. Keegan is board certified in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and Director of the E. Paige Laurie Endowed Program in Equine Lameness. In 2008 he founded Equinosis, a faculty- startup company Research in kinematics and lameness led to the development led to the development of a body-mounted inertial sensor system, now called Lameness Locator. Currently Dr. Keegan retains a 50% clinical, 50% research appointment at the University of Missouri.

    Dr. Hanne Friis Lund ( DvM, Medical Affairs Manager, Nordic region - IDEXX)
    Dr. Hanne Friis graduated as a DVM from he university of Copenhagen in 2005. Following her graduation, she worked in both first opinion and referral private practices in Norway and Denmark before joining IDEXX in 2014. Dr. Lund is a part of the training and Education team and has a special interest in hematology and the assessment of inflammatory diseases as well as in urology and the on-going development of biomarkers to help detect the early stages of diseases.

    Born in Cuneo, 10th March 1980, graduated at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Turin on 26 April 2005. Graduation thesis on “Use of the Ilizarov’s technique for fracture treatment in the dog and cat”; under the supervision of Prof. Bruno Peirone. Professional Licence (Board Examination) at the University of Turin, November 2005 

    Voluntary collaborator at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of University of Turin from April 2005 to April 2006. Awarded research grant by Piedmont Region Council from March 2006 to September 2006, topic “Use of pre-operative and intra-operative skeletal traction in veterinary traumatology and orthopaedics”. 

    Assistent of Prof.Peirone in surgery from 2006. 

    Assistent of Prof.Buracco in surgery from 2009.

     

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES AT DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL PATHOLOGY 

    Assistant of Professor Bruno Peirone in clinical and surgical small animal orthopaedics and traumatology. Student tutor for the layout of their graduation thesis.

    Dr Rachael qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 2002, gaining the RCVS certificate in small animal surgery in 2009.  She spent fifteen years in small animal practice in Morocco, UK and Singapore, bringing a wealth of clinical experience when she joined the IDEXX Singapore team in 2017.

    The Al Ain Pet Festival 2019 will be held on the 11th of October 2019 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. 

    TheAl Ain Pet Festival aims to increase awareness within the UAE about animal welfare and pet facilities, including pet health, training, nutrition and fashion. This faboulous event includes WKU Championship Dog Show, The Al Ain Cat Show, Dog Agility Competition, Petting Farm, Kidzone, exhibition of Pet products. 

    Pet experts will be educating the visitors about the significance of pet care and accessible resources in theUAE.

    The 4th WKU- CAC Championship Dog Show will start at 5:00 PM
