About our speaker

Gareth Arthurs PGCertMedED MA VetMB CertVR CertSAS DSAS (Orth) FHEA FRCVS.

Gareth graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 and spent several years in mixed and small animal practice before concentrating on small animal orthopaedics. He has been a UK RCVS Diplomate and Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedics) since 2007.

Gareth offers an orthopaedic referral service at Arthurs Veterinary Specialists. He also works part time as Professor of Small Animal Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Nottingham, carries out consultancy work for Veterinary Instrumentation, delivers orthopaedic CPD, and is a member of the AOVET European board and R&D commission. He has been chairman of the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association, an examiner for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and he reviews papers for a number of international journals.
