Dr. David C. Twedt, DVM, DACVIM - LAPAROSCOPIC ORGAN BIOPSY (JUNE 17 - 4AM GST)
Dr. David Twedt is board certified in internal medicine that has incorporated endoscopy in his clinical practice for forty years. He began teaching laparoscopic laboratories at Colorado State University in 1994. He is co-founder of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society and recipient of the Pioneer in Endoscopy Award presented in 2019.
Dr. Rod. A. Rosychuk, DVM, DACVIM - HOW I USE VIDEO OTOSCOPY (JUNE 24 - 4AM GST)
Dr. Rosychuk is a staff member at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where he is a Professor, the Service Chief of the Dermatology and Otology Service and Head of Specialty Services. He helped pioneer the use of video otoscopy in the diagnosis and management of canine and feline ear disease and continues to maintain a very busy clinical otology service, utilizing this technology. He has provided continuing education in Otology and Dermatology for Veterinarians throughout the US, Canada and in several countries in Asia and Europe.
Dr. Phil Mayhew, BVM&S, DACVS - LAPAROSCOPIC TREATMENT OF GERD/HIATAL HERNIA (JULY 1 - 10PM GST)
Dr. Mayhew is a professor in the school of veterinary medicine at the University of California Davis with a focus on small animal soft tissue surgery, minimally invasive surgery and surgical oncology. Dr. Mayhew’s main area of research is broadening the evidence base for minimally invasive soft tissue surgical procedures in small animals. In addition, he is focused on designing new laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures for use in small animal clinical practice. Dr. Mayhew is a graduate of the Royal Dick school of veterinary medicine, University of Edinburgh, Scotland and past president of the Veterinary Endoscopy Society.
Dr. Lynelle Johnson, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM - BRONCHOSCOPY TIPS AND TRICKS (JULY 8 - 10PM GST)
Dr. Johnson is a professor at the University of California – Davis. She is the respiratory section editor for Current Veterinary Therapy, is published in numerous textbooks and journals and is the author of the authoritative text Canine and Feline Respiratory Medicine.
Dr. Todd Tams, DVM, DACVIM - CLINICAL UTILITY OF GI ENDOSCOPY IN PRACTICE (JULY 15 - 4AM GST)
Dr. Tams is the Chief Medical Officer for VCA. He received his DVM from The Ohio State University, then completed an internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital and a residency program in internal medicine at Colorado State University. After working at Tufts University and Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, Dr. Tams returned to Los Angeles and has been with VCA since the company was founded in 1986. He was Medical Director at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital until 1996. Dr. Tams has published two textbooks: Small Animal Endoscopy and Handbook of Small Animal Gastroenterology.
Dr. Philip Lhermette, BSc (Hons), CBiol, FRSB, BVet Med FRCVS - BEYOND THE LAP SPAY: EXPANDING YOUR REPERTOIRE (JULY 22 - 10PM GST)
Philip is a past president of the British Small Animal Veterinary association. He is author and editor of the BSAVA Manual of Canine and Feline Endoscopy and Endosurgery, has contributed to numerous other publications and lectures extensively in minimally invasive techniques throughout the UK, Europe and Asia. In 2011 Philip received the BSAVA Simon Award for outstanding contributions in the field of veterinary surgery
Dr. Eric Monnet, DVM, PhD, FAHA, DACVS, DECVS - LAPAROSCOPIC CHOLECYSTECTOMY (JULY 29 - 4AM GST)
Dr. Monnet is a Professor at Colorado State University specializing in small animal surgery. Dr. Monnet was one of the first to describe the role of laparoscopic surgery in veterinary medicine. He has taught veterinarians laparoscopy nationally and internationally for over 20 years. He is the founder of the Veterinary Endoscopic Society and their first President.
Dr. Michael Willard, DVM, MS, DACVIM-SA - ENDOSCOPIC ELECTROSURGERY (AUGUST 5 - 4AM GST)
Dr. Willard is a 1975 graduate of the Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He did his internship and Masters degree at Kansas State University and his internal medicine residency at Michigan State University. After that, Dr. Willard held faculty appointments at Michigan State University, Mississippi State University, and Texas A&M University. Dr. Willard has given over 3,800 hours of invited post-graduate continuing education lectures (nationally and internationally), has over 80 refereed publications, and has over 150 book chapters in print.

The ENDOSCOPY Talks™ series brings together some of the most influential people in the field of endoscopy to discuss current best practices and emerging trends within the ever-expanding field. Each speaker will elaborate on a particular topic within Endoscopy. The talks will each be approximately one hour in length, with the time divided up between presentation and discussion.
Designed to benefit those performing endoscopic procedures as well as those interested in incorporating endoscopy into their practice, the Talks are free for everyone to view either the live or as recorded sessions. The Talks will be streamed live on the dates and times listed below.
